In 2017, I decided to take the Inktober challenge in October. If you don't know what it is, basically an artist named Jake Parker started this trend in 2009 as a way to help himself to become a better artist. Since then, the trend has grown and now millions of artists around the world take up the challenge too every year. I've seen it previous years and wanted to give myself a new lease to get into drawing and inking.
Not sure how it works? Here's my explanation! But first, some rules!
Take note of the rules. Draw, ink, post, hastag, repeat, ENJOY! But to further elaborate, here's what I did for Day 1.
Every year, Jake Parker uploads a prompt list onto his social media sites. It's optional to use this prompt, but other artists tend to make their own prompt lists. Because I was starting fresh this year, I decided to take note of each prompt and what each one reminded me of the most. So for Swift, it reminded me of the swift bird and a boy catching it swiftly.
And there we go! It's that simple!
